Commercial Property Manager

Hassey Property Group, a prominent Barrie & surrounding area property management group, is seeking an experienced Property Manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the Senior Management Team, the Property Manager is responsible for the efficient day to day operations and maintenance of a commercial/industrial portfolio in accordance with the policies and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and contractors
  • Primary point of contact addressing tenant inquiries and issues while maintaining positive tenant relations
  • Coordinates notices & corresponds with admin staff
  • Operates properties in accordance with an approved annual budget
  • Obtains quotes, issue work orders, verify completion of satisfactory work;
  • Tender out, implement and maintain maintenance contracts;
  • Oversees A/R and ensure all payments are received as per Lease obligations;
  • Prepares and monitors the Annual Operating Budget
  • Reviews and approves work orders and invoices
  • Coordinates signing of lease documentation
  • Coordinates move-ins and move-outs;
  • Performs routine site visits
  • Ensures tenant construction is completed per Lease obligations;
  • Reviews tenant billings and year-end adjustments for accuracy
  • Responds to emergency situations outside of regular business hours, when required

Qualifications

  • At least 2-5 years of experience in a similar role managing commercial/industrial properties
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle for regular travel
  • Experience with Yardi property management software considered an asset
  • Strong analytical aptitude and business acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and foster strong working relationships
  • Proactive and dedicated; takes ownership of projects and drives them to completion
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
